Eileen Hains
Eileen Hains grew up on Long Island in the 60s. She lived and worked on Long Island most of her life until she retired early. After high school, she attended college in New York, majoring in Early Childhood K-6 education and Home Economics. Upon graduation, she taught in a public school on Long Island. After teaching for a few years, Eileen obtained two master’s degrees: MA in counseling and MS in psychology. She enjoyed learning psychology and wanted to expand her knowledge; she acquired a Ph.D. in counseling psychology. While going through the Ph.D. program, she taught psychology classes to college students and had a small private practice. After teaching for 31 years, Eileen retired to Florida, where she met her husband, Darby.
